Bioflex Laser

The Bioflex Laser System is a well recognized low intensity laser system with a reputation for achieving rapid results. Used by organizations like the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Raptors, the Bioflex system can be used to treat various musculoskeletal and joint injuries in addition to various superficial skin conditions.

During treatment, the laser diodes are placed on the skin allowing photon energy to penetrate the tissue. Photons are particles of light energy that are absorbed by a variety of micro-molecules within the cell, a process which initiates a number of positive physiological responses. In simple terms, light energy is converted into biochemical energy in order to help restore normal cell structure and function.

In the past, laser systems were not very adaptable to different conditions or different tissue types. The BioFlex System can perform an infinitive range of treatment settings and protocols so that many different complex medical conditions can be effectively treated.

Previously, Dr. McDowall was the clinic director for Meditech International’s Bioflex laser clinics. Working closely with Dr. Fred Kahn, the developer of the Bioflex laser system, she was regularly invited to speak to medical doctors, chiropractors and physiotherapists about the application of the Bioflex system.
